Norwegian midfielder Martin Odegaard confirmed that he will return to Real Madrid next season, after the end of his six-month loan to Arsenal.
The player told Norwegian TV2: “The situation is that I am a Real Madrid player and I have to return to him in a week and a half. Real Madrid was clear: He wants me back, and therefore I will have to travel there when the training begins.”Odegaard did not personally speak to Real Madrid’s new coach, Carlo Ancelotti, but did speak with the club and confirmed that he had “close” contacts with him.
“Obviously my dream has always been to play there, I’ve been at the club for 6 years now and that has always been my goal,” he said.
Odegaard emphasized that his desire is to “play” and it is “important” that the play be regular.
