Apple on Monday unveiled a software update to iOS 15, which brings improvements to FaceTime, Maps, the Weather app, Messages, Wallet, and other features that were included in the latest update.
The update was announced at Apple’s annual developer conference, which is being held for the second year in a row, and runs through June 11.
This update is likely to be released next fall.
The update will also include a new grid view to show all your friends and family icons, and Apple will add portrait mode to the video chat app, a blurry background inspired by the camera function.
Schedule calls Apple’s FaceTime links will also allow you to schedule calls with people, and you’ll be able to send the invite link to people via email and text messages.
And this feature is not only limited to iPhone devices, according to Craig Federighi, who revealed that you will be able to use it with your friends who have Android phones. These calls will be end-to-end encrypted.
