Mustafa Reda revealed, in statements during a press conference, today, Tuesday, that the rate of vaccine distribution reached a record high of more than 43,000 doses within 24 hours – last Sunday – according to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
Reda explained that the Ministry of Health has prepared the necessary structures in 30 specialized centers to provide vaccinations to the largest number of community members in order to achieve community immunity.
He added that these efforts led to a decrease in the death rate of the total diagnosed cases to less than one percent, pointing to the health system’s success in addressing the variables and recurring waves of the pandemic.
Reda stated that, since the announcement of the registration of the first cases of HIV infection globally, the Ministry of Health has prepared to address this pandemic, whether by providing capabilities, increasing clinical capacity, equipped intensive care units, field hospitals, using field teams, providing necessary medicines, personal protection supplies and internationally approved vaccines.
He stressed that the Ministry of Health follows the principle of transparency in announcing injury numbers, admissions to hospital wards and intensive care units, and other necessary information.
