Jordan condemns the continued targeting of Saudi Arabia: Our security is one and indivisible

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed, on Monday, Jordan’s solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, after a new attack by the Yemeni “Ansar Allah” group (Houthis) on Saudi territory.

In a statement, the Jordanian Foreign Ministry said it condemned “the Houthi militia’s continued targeting of civilian areas in the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the latest of which was the fall of a drone and booby-trapped aircraft on a school in the Asir region, without causing any casualties.”

The ministry affirmed that “Jordan absolutely stands by the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the face of everything that threatens the security of the sisterly kingdom,” stressing that “the security of the two kingdoms is one and indivisible, and that any threat to the security and stability of Saudi Arabia is a threat to the security and stability of the entire region.”

The ministry also affirmed Jordan’s “permanent and firm position to condemn and denounce these cowardly terrorist acts and to continue targeting civilian areas,” according to the official Jordan News Agency.

On Sunday, the Saudi authorities announced that a booby-trapped drone had fallen on a school in the Asir region, southwest of the Kingdom, without causing any casualties, accusing the Houthis of launching it from inside Yemeni territory toward Saudi territory.
