Jordanian Interior Minister Mazen Al-Faraya announced, on Wednesday, that, based on the memorandum issued by the State Security Court’s prosecutor, the security services arrested the dismissed deputy, Wednesday evening. Osama Al-Ajarma.
The Al-Ajarma case started last month when he voted Jordanian Parliament Freezing his membership for one year, due to his insult to the Council, its prestige, its reputation, its members, and the Parliament’s internal system.
A verbal altercation in Parliament
Also, the council’s decision at the time stipulated that he be deprived of participating in the council’s work and cut off his allocations during the freezing period.
As a result, clashes and intense shooting erupted earlier this month, in the Umm al-Basateen area of Naour, near the Jordanian capital, Amman, between supporters of the dismissed Jordanian parliamentarian, and the security forces, during which security fired tear gas at the demonstrators.
A group of supporters of the aforementioned deputy erupted in the Naour area, west of the Jordanian capital, injuring four public security men, as well as the burning of vehicles and shooting in the air.
It is noteworthy that a verbal altercation took place between Al-Ajarma and Parliament Speaker Abdel Moneim Al-Awdat on May 24, due to a power outage three days earlier in many governorates of the country, which the parliament considered an insult to him, his prestige, his reputation, its members, and the internal system of Parliament.
