The Minister of Manpower, Mohamed Saafan, received a report from the Ministry’s Labor Representation Office at the Egyptian Consulate General in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of its follow-up to the conditions of Egyptian workers in the countries of work through the operations room established in labor representation offices abroad to respond to any inquiries, and provide support and assistance to them at any time. .

Haitham Saad Al-Din, the official spokesman and media advisor to the Ministry of Manpower, explained that the report received by the minister from the Labor Representation Office in Riyadh states that the Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has started implementing the vocational examination initiative, identifying 263 diverse professions in which workers must obtain professional licenses from (Professional Examination) centers inside the Kingdom.The Labor Attaché, Ahmed Ragaee, Head of the Labor Representation Office in Riyadh, said that the ministry has identified five test centers in (Riyadh – Dammam – Al Ahsa – Jazan – Rabigh) and grants the license for a period of five years after passing the tests, which include the theoretical and practical aspects, with a duration of about 75 minutes Explaining the start of granting these licenses to expatriate workers in accordance with the dates set for the mandatory start of obtaining the professional licence, for giant companies with 3000 workers or more, starting from the 1st of next July.

As for large companies, from 500 workers to 2999 workers, from September 2, 2021, medium companies from 50 workers to 499 workers from November 2, 2021, small companies from 6 workers to 49 workers from November 2, 2021, and limited companies from one worker to five workers from January 3, 2022.
