Today’s survey showed investor confidence in the euro zone rose for the fourth consecutive month in June, reaching the highest level since February 2018, thanks to the reopening of restaurants and the resumption of tourism in light of the decline in the number of infections with the Corona virus.
The Sentix index for the euro zone rose to 28.1 from 21.0 in May. A Reuters poll had indicated a reading of 26.0.
An index of current conditions rose to 21.3 from 6.3. An index of expectations fell to 35.3 from 36.8 a month ago.
“The eurozone is increasingly overcoming the painful losses of the coronavirus year,” said Manfred Hubner, director of Sentix.
The Sentix survey included 1,139 investors from the 3rd to the 5th of June.
