A Tanzanian singer named “Seven Material” re-released the song “Tamla Maak” by Egyptian artist Amr Diab, 21 years after it was released in an album of the same name, which was written by poet Ahmed Ali Moussa and composed by Sherif Taj and distributed by Tarek Madkour.

Commenting on the re-presentation of the song, the poet Ahmed Ali Moussa, the author of the song, wrote on his Facebook page that the Tanzanian singer did not obtain permission from the song makers to re-present it, saying: “The song said it for 9 months and I don’t know who took the permit from who? The authors and composers reply to me, dictate with you for the 9897644th time, this is the Tanzanian version.”

The artist, Amr Diab, celebrated last year the 20th anniversary of the release of the song “Tamli Maak”, and its viewership on YouTube reached 100 million.
