Recently, the issue of Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure from Juventus was raised, especially in the wake of the club’s failure to achieve any title except for the Italian Cup.
And according to the Spanish newspaper “AS”, Italian reports suggested three names might replace Ronaldo if he decided to leave Juventus after the European Nations Cup final.
According to the Italian newspaper, La Gazzetta dello Sport, the new sporting director of Juventus, Federico Cherubini, is looking for a player who can succeed Ronaldo.
Among the players nominated to succeed Ronaldo are Argentine Mauro Icardi, striker for the French team Paris Saint-Germain, and the Brazilian Gabriel Jesus, the Manchester City striker, in addition to the Serbian Dusan Vlahovic, the young striker of the Fiorentina team.
The newspaper confirmed that the renewal of the loan of Spaniard Alvaro Morata, from Atletico Madrid, has become a confirmed matter and has nothing to do with Ronaldo’s stay or his departure.
A previous report by “Gazzetta dello Sport” had indicated that Kylian Mbappe’s move to Real Madrid would support the possibility of Ronaldo leaving Juventus and joining Paris Saint-Germain.
The report added that Mbappe is a “priority” for the new coach of the Royal Club, Carlo Ancelotti, despite the huge amount that the Spanish team will have to secure for the deal.
On the other hand, there are leaks that talk about Paris Saint-Germain’s willingness to include Ronaldo as a replacement for Mbappe.
According to the ESPN sports website, Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri did not rule out Ronaldo’s departure from the team, a year before the expiration of his contract.
The Italian press had launched a scathing attack on Ronaldo after Juventus were knocked out of the 16th round of the Champions League by Porto.
Observers are likely to agree to the Juventus administration to sell Ronaldo, given the large salary he receives of 32 million euros annually, which prevents the conclusion of major deals to strengthen the team.
