Swedish star Zlatan Ibrahimovic, AC Milan player, raised the controversy again with his fiery statements, commenting on the issue of his absence from the Sweden national team at the Euro 2020 due to the injury he suffered at the end of last season.Ibra was injured against Juventus in the last weeks of the season, to miss Milan in the remaining matches and to confirm his absence from the squad of his country, which is preparing for Euro 2020.
The Swedish star said in an interview with the Italian newspaper “La Gazzetta”: “The absence from the European Nations is sad? The most sad thing for me is the absence from Milan in many matches.”
He added, “I want to help the team as much as possible, I want to play 50 games a season, this is normal for me, but I have to adapt to the demands of my body and not just my mind.”
Ibrahimovic continued: “I am not at my best 100%, so perhaps it is better to be a fan and watch the Euro than to participate in it.”
And about Olivier Giroud joining Milan, he said: “The more stars from the first row in our team, the better for us, we do not have many players with previous championships, if he came, he would be welcome.”
