The TV series “I May Destroy You” won the 67th British Academy Television BAFTA Award, beating “Small Ax” after winning the two most important awards, namely Best Series and Best Actress.

The real star of the ceremony was the Ghanaian-born, Michela Coyle, who won both awards for her role as writer, director and heroine of this drama that tells of Arabella’s struggle to regain her life after being raped.
This work, which was produced by “BBC One” and “HBO”, continued the successes that it had begun on May 24, after winning the awards for Best Directing, Best Dramatic Screenplay and Best Editing.

And this series outperformed its counterpart “Small Ax” – which talks about the racism that the black community suffered in Britain between 1962 and 1989 – who was the top candidate to win the award.
