How to use the page translator to translate websites on the iPhone

You can translate an entire web page through the page translator feature that Apple introduced in its latest update IOS 14, which is one of the features of the update that many have requested.

The page translator feature is supported by the system’s Safari browser, but in the past you needed to install a special application to translate pages on the Internet.

The page translator feature has made it easier for many to enjoy foreign sites, and this is because instead of translating each word separately or having to open the site through a special browser on your computer, you can translate it directly from the phone.

This feature is useful for those who are constantly looking for information. Those who do not prefer to use computers, and they are many, especially after the development of the iPad tablet from Apple.

Using the Page Translator on Safari:

You can activate the feature and use it easily on Safari. To do this, follow these steps:

  • When you get to the page you want to translate, click on the letters AA next to the page title on the left side of the screen.
  • Here, you will see the page font control options, and you will find an option called Translate to.
  • Click on it, and then agree to the translation if the phone asks for it
  • Now the phone will reload the page and it will show you translated.

Note, however, that the Page Translator feature works to translate the page into your phone’s primary language, not the language of your choice. If your phone is in English, the page translator will display it in English, not Arabic.

You can return the page to its original state by following the same steps but clicking View Original instead of translating.

Old versions of IOS:

You can rely on the page translator to translate web pages if you are using an old version of IOS Also, but this will be done through an application that you download.

We’ll rely on Microsoft Translate for this, so head over to the App Store and download it.

Now that you have downloaded it, go to the web page you want to translate, and click on the share button.

When the sharing options appear, search at the bottom of the screen until you find the More option.

Here activate Microsoft Translate by moving the tick next to it.

You can now return to the page you want to translate, and then press the share button and choose Microsoft translate and the page translator feature will work to show you fully translated.

The page translator feature is useful when searching for a recipe on the Internet or following up on Western news.
