Here’s how to take advantage of the new changes:
Find the photo you want as you normally would, then head to the Photos section.
Click “Tools” to expand the filter menu.
Under “Usage Rights”, you’ll find the option to categorize images by their license – Creative Commons or Commercial Use.
One of the additions is that Google Information on how to obtain licensed image rights is now displayed directly in the description.
If you do not select any of the Use Rights options, . will be displayed Google Simply all the images that fit your search criteria.
Images that lack license data will be flagged with a warning as images may be subject to copyright.
Note that Google only highlights image licensing details if the creator or publisher has already provided this information, so your best bet to avoid using a copyrighted image unknowingly is to filter out images that lack this information.
If you can’t find the right photo on Google, you can always try searching the royalty-free photo sites.
