announced a company Honor officially announced today that the Honor 50 series includes Google apps and services, as it launched the Honor 50 and Honor 50 Pro in China.

Honor said in a statement that its phones are subject to a security review from Google and that its devices will have the option to pre-install Google Mobile Services (GMS) across compatible devices, in accordance with Google’s licensing and governance models.

“Consumers will be able to experience GMS-equipped Honor smartphones and tablets,” the company said.

A spokesperson confirmed that the Honor devices referred to in the statement include the newly announced Honor 50 series of devices.

The devices are available for initial order in China on June 25, and are coming to international markets such as France, Malaysia, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom at a later date at a price to be announced.

Honor has not been able to provide Google apps and services, including the Google Play Store, on its phones since its previous parent company, Huawei, was included on the US Entity List, forcing Google to withdraw its Android license.

What changed with the Honor 50 series is that Huawei sold Honor at the end of last year, allowing the company to work with Google again.
