Germany defeated Portugal in the final of the European Youth Football Championship.
Germany won the European Youth Championship for the third time in its history, by defeating its Portuguese counterpart, 1-0, in the final match that was held at the “Stosice” stadium in Slovenia.
The star of “Manchester” Lucas Nemcha scored the winning goal and crowning the title in the 49th minute.
Nimcha was chosen as the best player in the final match, and he was the top scorer of the tournament with 4 goals.
With this result, the German team regained the championship title after losing in the final two years ago against Spain 1-2, to add its third title.
Germany is in third place for the most title winners, behind Spain and Italy, who have won 5 titles each.
On the other hand, the Portuguese national team continued to lose its third final match without succeeding in winning the title.
