The head of the Kataeb Party, the resigned MP, Sami Gemayel, commented on the words of Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, saying: “We are surprised by Nasrallah’s words, knowing that he controls the state, and it is strange that he is standing in a state of confrontation with the state while he has the majority and the President of the Republic is his ally.”In an interview with Al-Hurra channel, he added, “The words are surprising from a team that takes the Lebanese hostages in policies that have nothing to do with Lebanon and paths that have nothing to do with Lebanon.”

He continued, “We consider that those in charge of the state today, that is, the system, the militia alliance and the mafia, are responsible for what the country has reached, and they prevent the establishment of the state and the return of the decision to the people through early elections, and they want to stick to their gains and their chairs from cardboard.”

He pointed out that “the people are suffering and they are not affected by anything because their heart is not on Lebanon but on their positions and on keeping Lebanon hostage to Iran and Hezbollah, which controls the country, and Nasrallah spoke as the country’s president.”He stressed that “Nasrallah, with his words and decisions, breaks the sanctions decision on Iran and exposes Lebanon to sanctions, and this is something that no one will tolerate.”

Gemayel pointed out that “the propaganda of the authority wants to despair the people and convince them that change is not possible, and this is part of the strategy of moral assassination of the people, and this is wrong. More than a million people have taken to the streets and will vote in the elections.”

He asked, “Which elections will lead to structural change in Lebanon, so they are fleeing from it? Otherwise, why wait and postpone the elections as long as they trust themselves?”

He noted, “There is no electoral law that can stand in the way of a people who wants change, and we want international supervision of the elections because they may falsify the results.”

Gemayel pointed out that “there is a people who wants to move Lebanon to a new stage, and we tell Hezbollah that the people’s pulse is against all attempts to bring the country back 100 years, and this is what the Lebanese will say in any merit.”

He stressed that “elections are necessary in times of crisis, and in Israel they were unable to form a government, so they resorted to elections, and this matter applies to all countries of the world and people must be the judge, especially since we are waiting without being able to form a government. If we decided elections 11 months ago, they would have taken place.” .

He said, “We are hostages in the hands of the party, and it chose Hariri and Aoun, and he formed the previous government, and he has the majority and all the cards in his hands, and he decides, and the rest is a media show, while the truth is elsewhere.”

Gemayel added, “We cannot wait for more time as we need to re-establish the authority.”

He continued, “We consider that in Lebanon there is only one rapporteur, which is Hezbollah, and if it wanted to form a government, it would have been formed, but it is immersed in the Vienna negotiations and has other accounts, and considers Lebanon a card in its hand.”

Gemayel considered, “We are hostages to the party, and it chose Hariri and Aoun, and he formed the previous government, and he has the majority and all the cards in his hands, and he decides, and the rest is a media show, while the truth is elsewhere.”
