The building, which is dedicated to “Formula 1” and teams, will overlook the grid and the picturesque Jeddah coast. It consists of four floors and extends 280 meters in length with a sophisticated design along the main straight line of the circuit, characterized by elegant and soft lines that give it a unique and modern splendor.
It is noteworthy that the design of the building was carried out under the leadership of the chief architect of the “Tilke” company, Ulrich Merris, who is well known in the world of engineering, who has been consistent with the design of the building with the circuit and its surroundings.
The pits and teams building provides its guests with an incomparable view of the maintenance line and the starting grid, which will be the scene of the most important racing events when Jeddah writes its name on the records of the host cities of “Formula 1” next December. The building will also include the teams’ garages, the race management headquarters and suites The upscale hospitality of the Paddock Club.
For his part, Prince Khaled bin Sultan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation, said: “We are pleased to present to the world these images of the building of the barns and teams with its unique design, as it embodies a symbol of all the values that the race represents, the most important of which are hospitality, modernity and splendor.”
He added: “With 6 months remaining until the pinnacle of motorsports arrives in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, preparations continue in full swing, while our team is preparing to present a special first edition of the Saudi Grand Prix (Formula 1). We cannot wait to welcome you to Jeddah next December, to witness together a weekend of entertainment and record-breaking.”
The Formula 1 Saudi Grand Prix will be held from December 3 to 5, 2021, and drivers are expected to revolve around it at a speed of more than 250 km / h, making it the fastest street circuit in the world, and among the 5 fastest Formula 1 circuits. » on the calendar. In fact, the stars of “Formula 1” are expected to race against each other at speeds of up to 322 km/h, all the way to Turn 27. The Jeddah Corniche Circuit consists of 27 turns, with a length of 6.175 km, making it the second longest “Formula 1” circuit on the calendar. The current race is located behind the prestigious Belgian circuit Francorchamps.
In addition, 3 consecutive areas have been identified on the circuit for the possibility of activating the traction reduction system in the rear wing of Formula 1 DRS cars during the race.
The race will also be held at night and under floodlights, to add a unique experience to Formula 1 fans, next December.
Tickets for the 2021 Formula 1 Saudi Grand Prix will be on sale soon, the organizers revealed.
This hosting comes after a series of successes in hosting international events in various games, in light of the unlimited support that the sports sector enjoys from the Crown Prince, and in line with the plans and objectives of “Vision 2030”, to enhance the value and position of the Kingdom regionally and globally, and its ability to host these Major global events, to create a vibrant community with the highest standards of quality of life.
The hosting of “Formula 1 Saudi Arabia” is one of the largest events that will be organized in the Kingdom through the Ministry of Sports, and the Saudi Federation of Cars and Motorcycles, which will organize this race, in addition to the Quality of Life Program, where the Jeddah Corniche will be the starting and ending point for the race, which extends on the coast of The Red Sea, while the race will include many accompanying events, including motor sports, recreational and cultural activities that reflect the leadership’s interest in the sports sector and community sports, its ability to keep pace with global events and the passion of the Kingdom and its athletes through sporting events.
