The price of the euro stabilized against the Egyptian pound, today, Monday, June 21, 2021, in most banks, and fell sharply in the Central Bank of Egypt.

The price of the pound sterling also declined, the Kuwaiti dinar increased, and the dollar, the Saudi riyal and the Emirati dirham were stable against the Egyptian pound.

The average price of the European euro at the Central Bank of Egypt fell to 18.50 pounds for purchase and 18.62 pounds for sale, compared to 18.62 pounds for purchase, and 18.74 pounds for sale, yesterday.

In the National Bank of Egypt (the largest bank in Egypt), the price of the euro stabilized at 15.45 pounds for purchase and 18.69 pounds for sale, which are the same prices as yesterday.

The same price was repeated in Banque Misr (the second largest bank in Egypt).

At the Commercial International Bank (the largest private bank in Egypt), the price of the euro stabilized at 18.48 pounds for purchase and 18.72 pounds for sale.

The stability of the euro comes while the Monetary Policy Committee of the Central Bank of Egypt decided, last Thursday, to fix interest rates.

The bank expected that global economic activity will continue to recover from the “Covid-19” pandemic.

He pointed out that preliminary figures show that Egypt’s real GDP growth amounted to 2.9% during the first quarter of 2021, up from 2% during the previous quarter.

“The real GDP growth rate is expected to rise, partly driven by the positive impact of the base year,” the bank said.

And the Egyptian Ministry of Finance expected, in the budget of the next fiscal year, which begins on the first of next July, that economic growth will rise to 5.4% in the next fiscal year 2021-2022, from the expected rate for the current year, which is 2.8%.

Dollar and sterling rates

The average price of the dollar at the Central Bank of Egypt settled at 15.59 pounds for purchase and 15.69 pounds for sale, which are the same prices as yesterday.

The price of the pound sterling in the Central Bank of Egypt also fell to 21.54 pounds for purchase and 21.86 pounds for sale, compared to 21.76 pounds for purchase and 21.91 pounds for sale, yesterday.

The prices of the riyal, dirham and dinar

The average price of the Saudi riyal at the Central Bank of Egypt settled at 4.15 pounds for purchase, and 4.18 pounds for sale, which are the same prices as yesterday.

At the National Bank of Egypt (the largest bank in Egypt), the price of the Saudi riyal settled at 4.14 pounds for purchase and 4.18 pounds for sale.

The same rate was repeated in Banque Misr (the second largest bank in Egypt), and in the Commercial International Bank (the largest private bank in Egypt).

The average price of the UAE dirham remained stable at 4.24 pounds for purchase and 4.27 pounds for sale.

While the price of the Kuwaiti dinar increased to 51.76 pounds for purchase and 52.10 pounds for sale, compared to 51.71 pounds for purchase and 51.18 pounds for sale, yesterday.
