The former Dutch star joined the list of ambassadors for the 2022 World Cup, which will be held in Qatar in November of next year.
De Boer said in his interview with journalists via the Zoom application: “The best for Salah’s future? He knows better than me, and he is ambitious, and he is the son of Liverpool and has a great influence on the team in recent years and led them to win the Champions League.”
He added, “I don’t think he needs to leave, this is his life, for me I have played in several countries in Scotland, the Netherlands, Spain and Qatar, for me as a personal experience it was wonderful, life is short and it is wonderful to share many with the world, and he can do that which is wonderful.”
And he concluded, “If there is a possibility, he can play in Spain or anywhere else, this is what I recommend to him.”
Some French reports had indicated Paris Saint-Germain’s desire to include Mohamed Salah if Kylian Mbappe left the Paris team this summer.
The Liverpool striker scored 22 goals and assisted 5 in 37 league matches and helped his team snatch the third qualifying spot for the Champions League.
Salah was nominated by the English Premier League for the Best Player in the competition for the 2020-2021 season.
