On Sunday, Belgium defeated Portugal 1-0 in the match that was held at La Cartuja Stadium in Spain in the round of 16 of Euro 2020.
Kevin De Bruyne was discharged after suffering an ankle injury at the beginning of the second half, while Hazard injured his hamstring muscle minutes before the end of the match and was replaced as well.
Some reports had confirmed the end of the tournament for Hazard due to injury.
“The news is very positive for us, Kevin and Hazard have not had any structural injuries and they will remain with us,” Martinez said in comments reported by The Athletic.
He added, “They will not be ready for Friday’s match, but in the next stage they will be ready to play. We are monitoring the situation day after day.”
Belgium will meet Italy on Friday 2 July in the quarter-finals, which will be held at the Alien Arena in Germany.
