The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia succeeded in maintaining the organization of the Spanish Super Cup for football.
And Marca newspaper revealed that Saudi Arabia, despite the current financial crisis due to the outbreak of the Corona virus in the world, has maintained its contracts with the Spanish Football Association.
According to Marca, Saudi Arabia pays 30 million euros annually to host the Spanish Super Cup.
The previous agreement was to hold the Spanish Super Cup in Saudi Arabia for a period of three copies between 2019 to 2021.
Marca quoted 2Playbook as saying that the Spanish Federation reached an agreement to renew the current contract for another three years, with the possibility of renewing for four new editions.
The Spanish Super Cup will therefore be held until at least 2029 if that contract is adhered to.
Marca indicated that the Spanish Federation will receive approximately 240 million to 320 million euros in that period.
Athletic Bilbao won the Super Cup in the last edition at the expense of Barcelona after winning 3-2 after resorting to extra games.
