The Spanish national team announced on Tuesday that Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has joined the team’s camp in preparation for the emergency participation in Euro 2020.

On Monday, the Spanish Football Federation announced that all players and coaching staff had tested negative, a day after Sergio Busquets tested positive for the Corona virus.

And the Spanish Federation website reported on Tuesday that Kepa will join Rodrigo Moreno, Pablo Fornals, Carlos Soler, Brice Mendes and Raul Albiol in a parallel bubble for the Spanish national team, which was created in anticipation of the possible consequences after Busquets was infected with the Corona virus.

While everyone’s sample came back negative, Busquets’ smear remained positive.

And all the players continued to train individually as a precaution until another smear was performed and to confirm its negativeness before allowing them to train collectively again.

Spain played one friendly match in preparation for Euro 2020 against Portugal, and it ended in a 0-0 draw.

Spain will meet Sweden in its first match in the group stage of Euro 2020 on Monday, June 14.

Spain was placed in Group D, along with Sweden, Poland and Slovakia.
