Sharjah, June 6 / WAM / The Sharjah Sports Club celebrated the delegation of the UAE national aerial shooting team participating in the Arab Shooting Championship, which crowned our team with the Arab gold in the junior category through the player of the team and Sharjah Sports Club, Mohammed Al Kaabi, and also won the second place and the silver medal at the team level.
The delegation was received at the VIP lounge at Sharjah International Airport by His Excellency Issa Hilal Al-Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, His Excellency Ali Salem Al-Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Club, Engineer Suleiman Abdul Rahman Al-Hajri, Head of the Individual Games Department, and Abdul Rahman Al-Malehi, member of the individual games in Sharjah Club, the game supervisor and officials of the Emirates Shooting Federation.
Mohammed Al Kaabi, the champion of our national team and the player of Sharjah Club, succeeded in achieving the first gold medal for the country in the junior category, after he won the first place in the pistol weapon for a distance of 10 meters, in addition to the team crowning the second place at the team level, accompanied by his colleagues Khalifa Saif, player of Sharjah Club, and Abdullah Obaid, player of Al Dhaid Club. .
His Excellency Ali Salem Al Midfa presented the achievement to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the first sponsor of individual games, the Sharjah Sports Council, and all fans of Sharjah Sports Club.
He pointed out that the Board of Directors is always keen to encourage players before participating in tournaments to achieve first place and raise the state flag in foreign tournaments.
He pointed out that the player Mohammed Al Kaabi has achieved a new achievement in addition to the sport of the Emirates and raising the flag of the state in an external forum, which is what we are working for by representing the teams in the best representation.
For his part, Eng. Suleiman Abdul Rahman Al-Hajri said, “We have the right to be proud of this achievement that we dedicate to our wise leadership. We also congratulate the Shooting Federation for this achievement and we commend those in charge of the federation and those who worked and reaped these good results.”
He added, “We are reaping the fruits of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah’s vision for individual games, which has achieved many successes thanks to the great support he gives to them, as well as the constant attention and follow-up from the Sharjah Sports Council, in addition to the support and encouragement of the Board of Directors.” Pointing out that the Individual Games Department has short and long-term plans and strategies. To supply the country’s teams in all games with the best players, and also enjoy cooperation and joint work relations with all sports federations for the ultimate goal of seeing an Emirati player in the Olympics.
