AJMAN, June 10 / WAM / The Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized a panel discussion entitled “The Benefits of Opening the Door for 100% Freehold to Foreign Investment” with the aim of developing a vision for the Chamber’s role in implementing the decision to open the door to 100% freehold ownership in more than 1,000 economic activities to Foreign investment in the Emirate of Ajman and its repercussions on the investment and economic sectors.

The panel discussion – chaired by His Excellency Eng. Abdullah Al Muwaiji, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry – was attended by His Excellency Salem Al Suwaidi, Director General, executive directors and employees of the Chamber.

The episode reviewed the efforts of the other emirates of the country in implementing the decision of the Ministry of Economy regarding the “Commercial Companies Law”, which it had announced last May and entered into force from the beginning of this June, and allows investors and entrepreneurs at the state level to establish companies and own them fully in economic activities.

His Excellency Eng. Abdullah Al Muwaiji stressed the keenness of the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry to follow up and implement all economic decisions in the emirate, in line with the state’s policies and strategic directions that aim to provide an attractive economic and investment environment, and build a flexible and sustainable legislative system that enhances the state’s economic and investment competitiveness that it offers. Each emirate has a business community and investors from around the world.

He explained that the decision will contribute to the development of business and the expansion of companies located in the emirate and operating in the commercial and industrial sectors in particular, and will enhance Ajman’s attractiveness to new investment opportunities, and will consolidate its competitiveness and ability to provide quality and value-added services.

The participants recommended the need to enhance the awareness aspect, and provide data and statistics to support investors and entrepreneurs who are coming to implement new projects, in order to choose the most successful activities, which enhances the benefit of the business community and attracts more foreign direct investment.
