Al-Watan newspaper quoted one of the parents as saying: “The child was in a difficult condition, and was very hungry, and as soon as he was given a dose of milk, he ate it in full, and it was clear that he had been inside the grave for more than 3 hours because there was sand on his face.”

He added, “The child was exposed to death within hours if no one discovered him or heard his voice, noting that the funeral at which they buried the drowned child was at the last light of the day.”

He continued, “The child would have died before daybreak, and a dog or any other animal could have been exposed to him and be mauled, but God has written for him salvation and safety.”
