The Board of Directors of the General Authority of Ports approved the appointment of Omar bin Talal Hariri, as CEO of the General Authority of Ports, starting from July 1, 2021.
Hariri has over 18 years of experience, during which he held several leadership positions in the transport and logistics sectors.
Hariri has been the CEO of Saudi Airlines Cargo and the Saudi Logistics Company (SAL) since 2018, and worked on developing and implementing the group’s strategy in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, and served as CEO of FedEx Express, and as Vice President of the Commercial Sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia D company. Hariri serves on several boards of directors and committees in each of; Consulting the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the SkyTeam Cargo Committee, the Saudi Ground Services Company, the Saudi Ground Services Company’s Recruitment and Remuneration Committee, and the Logistics Committee of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce. He also chairs the Board of Directors of the SkyTeam Cargo Alliance.
