Dubai Culture and Arts Authority “Dubai Culture” held a virtual awareness workshop for its employees on mental and mental health, under the title “Moving forward in times of change”, with the aim of educating them about the basics of psychological well-being, creating balance, achieving psychological flexibility and the ability to adapt to and manage change effectively, especially In the post-Covid-19 pandemic period. On the importance of this workshop, Mohammed Obaid Al Marri, Director of Human Resources Department at Dubai Culture, said: “The organization of this workshop came within the framework of Dubai Culture’s commitment to establish programs, workshops and activities that contribute to maintaining the health of The psychological, mental and physical safety of employees, in line with the happiness axis within the institutional priorities of its strategy roadmap 2020-2025, as the session aims to educate employees on ways to keep pace with the changes imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic on individual lifestyles and behaviors, and manage transition in light of uncertainty and deal with Positively change and new life practices, which is reflected on their happiness, inner peace and upgrading their productivity.
Shatha Taher, Director of Personnel Services at Dubai Culture, said: “Our lives have witnessed major changes as a result of the ongoing repercussions of the COVID 19 pandemic, as the epidemic not only affected the working lives of individuals, but also affected the private lives of community members in general. Working mothers, in particular, face great pressures in their daily lives, as they have to maintain a balance between their personal and work lives, so initiatives such as mental health workshops are really important for employees, as they enable them to form a clear vision and identify effective ways in relation to How to deal with sudden changes and constant challenges during these difficult times.”
The workshop was held on June 23, via Zoom, and was presented by Dr. Salha Afridi, a clinical psychologist, partner and general manager of the Lighthouse Arabia Center for Mental Health, Mental Health and Well-being in Dubai.
