California Adventure’s newest attraction is set to release the “Avengers Campus,” a superhero-themed ensemble of fictional characters who appeared in American comics published by Marvel Comics and later turned into cinema. – Early this week, but without the same amount of fanfare and publicity.
The company held a relatively quiet opening ceremony, which was broadcast live with some celebrities and fireworks set off, but without the usual amount of festive rituals.California theme parks are still operating at a capacity of only 35%, until at least June 15, the date scheduled to lift statewide restrictions imposed to combat the outbreak of the Corona virus, when residents outside California will be able to attend. Even then, Disney is likely to limit crowd numbers as it seeks to enforce its own social distancing goals.

The world’s largest theme park operator is asking its goers to make reservations to enter its resorts. Most tickets for June are already sold out at Disneyland and neighboring California Adventure, both in Anaheim, California.

As a result, Disney may back off its promotions, billboards, and television ads, for fear of disappointing its fans.

The Avengers Campus is an attempt to capitalize on the huge popularity of Marvel’s superhero franchise and renovate some of the older parts of the park. The new attraction occupies the former A Bags Land based on the movie A Bags Life, which opened with California Adventure Park in 2001.

And there is now a game “Spider-Man” in that place, where the guests, during its practice, using 3D glasses, and then, through some special Disney effects, shoot at evil spiders’ webs. Although there is a restaurant and gift shop, the biggest attraction is an Avengers-themed roller coaster, which was announced in 2019, but is still closed.
