Germany coach Joachim Loew has previously denied negotiating a transfer with Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Barcelona was seriously considering sacking the current coach, Ronald Koeman, due to the clear deterioration of results in the last rounds of the Spanish League, and his loss of the title to Atletico Madrid.
German newspaper “Bild” confirmed that Barcelona contacted Loew’s agents in March, after learning of his decision to leave Germany after the end of the euro.
The newspaper refused to mention the name of the person who contacted Loew from Barcelona, but confirmed the German coach’s refusal to take over the task, because of his desire to obtain a temporary break from training.
This comes despite Low’s own statements recently, about not entering into negotiations with Real Madrid or Barcelona in the recent period.

Loew denies negotiations
Germany coach Joachim Loew revealed the truth of his negotiations with Real Madrid and Barcelona to train one of them in the coming period.
This came, according to Loew, in statements to a press conference, during which he confirmed that he had not communicated with Barcelona or Real Madrid.
“No one has contacted me,” Love said. “I’ve said before I just want to get some rest, and that hasn’t changed.”
“I can’t take over the coaching of any team immediately, I’ve been here in the German Football Association for 17 years,” he added.
And the coach, who won the 2014 World Cup against Argentina, concluded his remarks: “I need some rest on an emotional level.”
Numerous reports had confirmed that Loew would be the next coach of Real Madrid or Barcelona in light of the departure of Zinedine Zidane and the inability to resolve Ronald Koeman’s future.
It is worth noting that Loew had announced his departure from the German national team at the end of the European Nations Cup, which will be held within days.
