Capito appointed as Williams team manager

Williams has confirmed that its chief executive, Josht Capito, will take over the role of co-team boss for the Formula One World Championship, with Simon Roberts leaving.

Roberts had held the position of Team Principal for Williams for the past year, with the Williams family’s departure from Formula 1 confirmed and the team being sold to a US investment company.

Williams’ new owners, the Dorilton Company, then decided to retain Roberts’ services as team manager, with Capito as CEO.

But now, as the team continues to restructure internally in order to improve its performance and improve its speed to achieve better results, Roberts is leaving the Williams team, while Capito is the CEO and team manager as well..
