Byblos defeats Al Motaheda and draws for the Lebanon Basketball Cup | sport


Byblos team defeated its host Al-Motaheda by 11 points, with a score of (77-66), on Monday evening, at President Michel Suleiman’s complex, by concluding the fifth round of the second leg of the Lebanon First Division Basketball Championship.
The victory is the seventh for Byblos against similar defeats, raising its score to 21 points, while Al-Motahed received its ninth loss for 5 victories, and its score is 19 points.
Bechara Boustani was the best in the ranks of Byblos with 20 points with 4 rebounds and two assists, and Ibrahim Haddad was the best in the ranks of Al-Motaheda and the match with 23 points, 14 rebounds and 3 decisive balls.
The sixth round kicks off with a meeting with Homenetmen and his guest Hobbs in Mezher Hall at 8:00 pm on Tuesday.
The draw of the Lebanon Cup for men was conducted, and the matches in the first round were as follows: Atlas – Champville, Lebanese Army – Internic (Beirut), Amchit – Dynamo, Byblos – Leaders, Al-Hikma – Feytroun, Jisr al-Basha – Jupiter and Anthony – Kahraba, and either Riyadi (Beirut) and qualified for the second round directly.
