BMW has launched its new i4 and ix electric cars.
The German company explained that the i4 Gran Coupe is available at a price of 58 thousand and 300 euros (one million and 113 thousand Egyptian pounds), while the ix is classified in the category of SUV models and is available at a starting price of 77 thousand and 300 euros.
Both new models have a new cockpit with a curved OLED screen, and a system based on 5G technology.
The Gran Coupe has an electric motor of 250 kW / 240 hp, with a maximum torque of 630 Nm. The car accelerates due to this force from stability to 100 km / h in less than 6 seconds, while the top speed is 190 km / h. Thanks to the 80 kWh battery, the car has a range of 590 km.
The propulsion program includes another engine with a power of 400 kW / 544 hp, with a maximum torque of 795 Nm. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in about 4 seconds, and reaches a top speed of 255 km / h.
The ix is initially available in two versions: the first with 240 kW/326 hp and 630 Nm of torque. This version accelerates from stability to 100 km / h in 6.1 seconds and stands on the cusp of 200 km / h. Thanks to the 71 kWh battery, the car has a range of 425 km.
As for the second version, it relies on a 385 kW / 523 hp engine and 765 Nm of maximum torque, accelerating it in 4.6 seconds. The maximum speed is 200 km / h, and the range is 630 km thanks to the battery capacity of 105 kWh.
Later, the most powerful version of the car appears with a power of 440 kW / 600 hp. Batteries are charged up to 210 kilowatts, depending on the model and engine. And 80% of the battery is charged in less than 40 minutes. In the best conditions, 10 minutes of charging can suffice for a distance of up to 164 km.
