Today Beats announced the second pair of true wireless headphones, the new Beats Studio Buds. Priced at $149.99 and available in red, black, or white, the Studio Buds have a compact design that’s much different than the previous Powerbeats Pro. There are no ear hooks on it nor on any legs, which makes it a very comfortable fit. Pre-orders start today in the US and Canada from Apple and other retailers like Amazon And Most affordable purchaseThe headphones will be available in stores on June 24.
Studio buds have active noise cancellation, are IPX4 water-resistant and sweat-resistant and can last up to five hours for a fee. (If you leave the noise canceling on, it can take up to eight hours of continuous playback. It also uses USB-C for charging — unfortunately no wireless charging — and can be used separately on headphones.
Interestingly enough, Beats supports both iOS and Android features with Buds Studio. On the iPhone, you get the familiar and easy installation like AirPods and Control Center integration. They can also perform “Hi Siri” commands hands-free. On Android, Beats now works with Google’s Fast Pair and Find My Device features.
Beats created an innovative acoustic engineering design for Studio Buds, with 8.2mm drivers, and the company claims you can expect “great stereo separation and consistent low distortion across the frequency curve so you can hear every letter.”
