Barcelona speaks again about the controversial “Super League”


Barcelona President Joan Laporta considered, on Sunday, that the project that caused controversy in Europe and the world, the “Super League”, is still alive.
Laporta said in a meeting with Barcelona club members that “the Super League is still alive.” Denouncing the desire of some to ask the club to apologize for the championship, as the English clubs and the rest of the nine clubs withdrew.

Only 3 of the 12 clubs that were scheduled to start the tournament remain in the tournament, which has met with European discontent, namely “Juventus, Real Madrid and Barcelona”.According to the newspaper “Marca”, Laporta stressed that “the entire football pyramid will benefit from the revenues of the Super League, the big clubs and the small clubs.”

The European Football Association had threatened deterrent sanctions against the three clubs, and Slovenian “WIFA” president Aleksandar Ceferin said on the eve of the start of the European Cup 2020 that the trio had “lost the moral and sporting battle.”

UEFA suspended legal action against the three clubs “until further notice”.
