Apple’s augmented reality glasses coming in Q2 2022

After holding the Apple conference yesterday, came more expectations and speculation about the augmented reality glasses Apple AR, which we have heard many rumors about for a long time.

The famous Apple analyst Kuo came with a new note setting the launch date for this glasses in the second quarter of 2022, while previous rumors had indicated its launch in 2023.

There are also new details about Apple’s camera lens supply group and Taiwan’s Genius Electronic Optical (GSEO) as a major supplier of the upcoming iPhone 13 lineup as well as augmented reality glasses.

Apple’s augmented reality glasses are expected to use Sony’s microLED displays with view mode for AR content and dark mode for VR content. About fifteen cameras will be turned on, providing a very immersive experience for users.

The design will be lightweight (between 200 and 300 grams), and you will have to connect a desktop/laptop to operate the glasses, while the more portable version will arrive in 2025.

The price of these Apple glasses is expected to reach around $1,000 although previous rumors had expected a price of $3,000. So, we have to wait and see what Apple does.
