The Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Majed bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, approved the temporary operating model regulating the work of the ministry in light of its new structure, 100 days after the decision to include the Ministry of Housing in the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs, which aims to develop the performance of the ministry, leading to an increase in the efficiency of services provided to citizens. And meet their aspirations and needs, and keep pace with the objectives related to the scope of its work within the vision of the Kingdom 2030.

The new structure of the ministry aimed to achieve a number of benefits, most notably enabling areas of integration and operational sustainability by unifying common services, overlapping elements and initiatives, as well as promoting the acceleration of the pace of privatization and reaching segments of private investors more to raise operational efficiency. Among the benefits are also increasing and standardizing service delivery channels, benefiting from digital capabilities and data in the sector, enhancing the utilization of financing models for developing the necessary infrastructure, as well as arranging development work on target areas in cities to ensure the quality of services provided.

The application of the new structure contributes to achieving a series of goals, foremost of which is increasing the percentage of home ownership, increasing the supply of new housing, improving the quality of life in the cities of the Kingdom, and improving the urban landscape. Finance.
