Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Minister of Sports, thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince for the great support that the sports sector finds. The Kingdom has been able to prove its ability to organize and host major international events with the highest standards with the support and follow-up of the Crown Prince.
During his speech at the periodic press conference for government communication, Al-Faisal revealed: Vision 2030 is to serve the sports side by promoting and spreading sports and motivating everyone to practice sports to become a part of the daily life of the citizen.
The Minister of Sports announced that the Kingdom will continue to host the Spanish Super Cup, the Italian Super Cup, the Super Globe Handball Championship, and the 3×3 Basketball World Tour. The 2022 Formula E race and the 2022 Dakar Rally.
In his speech, Al-Faisal revealed the development of the headquarters of nine clubs to host matches within the initiative to develop sports club facilities. He also announced work to convert three stadiums for Al-Shabab, Al-Fateh and Al-Ettifaq clubs into stadiums by 2022.
Al-Faisal explained the strategy to support clubs for the current season, where Al-Ittihad club received 115.7 million riyals as the most supported club, followed by Al-Hilal Club 113.8 million riyals, then Al-Ahly 109.6 million riyals, and fourthly, Al-Fateh team attended 99.4 million riyals, then Al-Wahda 94.2 million riyals, and after that came the Al-Nasr with 93.7 million riyals, then Al-Shabab with 90.6 million riyals, then Al-Ettifaq with 88 million riyals, then Al-Raed with 80 million, then Al-Faisali, the King’s Cup champion with 77.1 million, then Damak team with 76 million, then Abha with 72.4 million riyals, then Al-Taawun With 70.8 million riyals, and finally Al-Qadisiyah clubs came with 65.6 million riyals, then Al-Batin with 54.9 million riyals, and then Al-Ain with 48.6 million riyals.
