Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, the Saudi Minister of Sports, stressed the continuation of hosting international sporting events, such as the Spanish and Italian Super Cups and the 2022 Dakar Rally, pointing out that the stadiums of 3 clubs will be converted into sports stadiums by the middle of next year.
The Minister of Sports said during the periodic press conference for government communication: “Saudi Arabia will continue to host international sporting events such as the Spanish Super Cup, the Italian Super Cup, the 2022 Dakar Rally, the Super Globe Handball Championship, the 33x Basketball World Tour and the Formula E race.”
He continued: “The stadiums of Al-Shabab, Al-Fateh and Al-Ittifaq clubs will be converted into sports stadiums by the middle of the next calendar year, and the stadiums of Al-Hilal, Al-Ittihad, Al-Ahly, Al-Nasr, Al-Batin, Al-Qadisiyah, Al-Raed, Al-Ta`awun clubs will be developed by the middle of the development of its facilities and the improvement of its facilities by the middle of 2022, as part of the Club Facilities Development Initiative.
