A member of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Management Association, Khalil Al Dhiyebi, explained the difference between the Retirement Pensions Department and the Social Insurance Department.
Al-Dhiyabi said: “Now the Ministry of Human Resources is affiliated with the first authority in the state. It has regulations and legislation, and all employees follow one regulations.”
He added: “In the past, we had two systems, the Retirement Pensions Authority and the Social Insurance Authority, and the difference between them is huge in terms of regulations and legislation.”
He continued, “Now the system has guaranteed everyone their rights to employment. In the past, everyone wanted a government job, and this concept must change now.”
He continued: “In the past, personnel affairs were concerned with routine procedures only, but now human resources are interested in policies and set the goals of the organization itself, and seek to achieve them in a manner that reduces the difference between the governmental and private job, because all jobs are now under one umbrella, which is the Ministry of Human Resources.”
