Actor Paul Mescal receives the BAFTA Award for Best Leading Actor


British actor Paul Mescal won the British Academy Film Award “BAFTA” for best lead actor for his role in the series “Normal People” (Normal People).
Mescal, 25, upon receiving the award, thanked his co-star, Daisy Edgar Jones, 23.The event was hosted by comedian Richard Iwady.

Actress Michaela Coyle won Best Leading Actress for her role in “I May Destroy You”, which also won Best Miniseries.

The story revolves around a woman who seeks to rebuild her life after being sexually assaulted.

Actor Malachi Kirby won Best Supporting Actor for his role in “Small X”, which was nominated for 15 awards.

Actor Raki Ayola won Best Supporting Actress for her role in the TV movie Anthony.

Actress Amy Lou Wood won Best Actress in a Comedy Series for her role in Six Education.

Charlie Cooper won Best Actor in a Comedy Series for his role in The Country.

The party’s organizer had revealed earlier this week that celebrities who would not be able to personally attend the ceremony would appear on the stage using hologram technology.

The ceremony was not attended by fans of television works on the red carpet as usual due to the restrictions to combat the Corona virus, and some candidates were unable to attend.
