Spanish media reported a dispute between Real Madrid president Florentino Perez and Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti, the coach of the Royal Club, over the future of French defender Raphael Varane.

Varane’s contract with Real Madrid expires at the end of the next season (2021/2020), and it was reported that Perez could sell the French defender this summer to avoid his free departure after one year, if the renewal of his contract was not successful.
