In an unexpected surprise, the daughter of the late Egyptian artist Saeed Saleh expressed her dissatisfaction with the process of coloring the play “School of the rioters” whose heroism was presented by her father, along with artists Adel Imam, Younis Shalaby, Suheir Al-Babli, Hassan Mustafa, Ahmed Zaki and Hadi Al-Jayer in 1973, written and directed by Ali Salem. Hind Saeed Saleh said through her official account on the “Facebook” site: “I do not like the idea of coloring the school of rioters, they will leave art as it is done by its makers.”
She pointed to errors in the coloring process: “Mama saw the advertisement of the school of rioters in color, and she said that the colors for wearing a door are not just like that. Will you know more than Mama to wear her husband?”
The Association of Sons of Egyptian Artists considered in a statement that the coloring of the play is considered “a violation of the literary rights of the performers who are participating in it, all of whom are art figures who have carved a place and place for themselves in the memory and conscience of the audience, and it is not acceptable to color their works except with their written consent or Of their heirs, and most of them enjoy membership in the association that seeks to defend their literary rights.
After the “witness” platform published a propaganda video for the play in color, the association confirmed that it was directed to the judiciary in order to take the necessary legal measures.
And “witness”, sponsored by the “General Entertainment Authority” in Saudi Arabia, announced its performance of the play “School of rioters” using color technology in the upcoming Eid al-Fitr season.
