The embassy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in the Kingdom of Bahrain confirmed the modernization of entry procedures through Bahrain ports from the first day of Eid Al Fitr.

The embassy stated in a statement, which “previously” obtained a copy of, that it refers to the decision issued by the competent authorities in the Kingdom regarding lifting the suspension of citizens’ travel abroad on Monday 5 Shawwal 1442 AH corresponding to 5/17/2021 AD, that it surrounds citizens coming to the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain through all ports. According to the procedures and instructions issued by the competent authorities in the Kingdom of Bahrain, it was decided, starting from the first day of the blessed Eid al-Fitr, to update the entry procedures through the ports of the Kingdom of Bahrain in accordance with the following controls:

1- The vaccinated persons and those recovered from the countries of the Cooperation Council, the examination will be canceled upon arrival, and the decision to cancel the examination does not apply to the age groups between 6-17 years and those who are not vaccinated and those who are not recovering.

2 – The vaccinated persons from the countries that collect it and the Kingdom of Bahrain agreements for mutual recognition of approved vaccination certificates, canceling the examination upon arrival.

3- The vaccinated persons from the United Kingdom, the European Union, the United States of America and Canada, continue to conduct the examination upon entry, as previously announced.

4- Those coming from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal, including those in transit, continue to present a certificate confirming the result of the examination 48 hours before the departure time, in addition to continuing the examination procedure upon arrival.

In the conclusion of its statement, the embassy stressed the need to adhere to the precautionary measures and preventive measures, and not to be complacent in the application of health requirements, and the honorable citizens will be informed of new developments in this regard.

It is noteworthy that the suspension of travel with the national identity of the countries of the Cooperation Council is still ongoing, and only passport holders are allowed to travel.
