The blessed month of Ramadan moon arrives today, Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at (07:50 PM GMT), the moment of the last square, and it will have cut three quarters of its orbit around the Earth.

The Jeddah Astronomical Society revealed in a report, that the moon will rise after midnight according to local time and will be apparently near the planet Saturn in conjunction, and it will be near them by the bright planet Jupiter, all of which will be organized in a celestial triangle, easily visible to the naked eye, which is an ideal opportunity for astronomical photography.

The report pointed out that Saturn is the second largest planet after Jupiter, its diameter is 9 times greater than the diameter of the Earth, and like Jupiter, Saturn is composed of gas, mainly hydrogen and helium, and it is the sixth planet in terms of distance from the sun and is the farthest planet in our solar system that can be easily seen with the naked eye As a golden point.

Saturn is known as the jewel of the solar system, the Lord of the Rings, and the King of Rings due to its wonderful ring system that can only be seen through telescopes, as the main ring almost covers the distance between the Earth and the Moon and is only one kilometer thick.

The moon will reach its highest point in the dome of the sky in conjunction with the sunrise on Tuesday against the blue background of the sky and will remain visible until the afternoon set.

The last quadrature period in which the half of the moon and the other half appears dark is the ideal time to observe the topography of the moon’s surface with binoculars or a small telescope, because the mountains, craters, etc. are very clear, especially along the line separating the day side and the night side due to the interference of light and shadows, which gives a three-dimensional view. .

During the next few days, the distance between the moon and the sun in the sky will shrink until the moon becomes in the crescent phase at the end of the month and observes shortly before sunrise in preparation for its fall in the conjunction of Shawwal 1442.
