The “mental health measure” in France tracks a doubling of occupational exhaustion a day after the return to work

A measure of the mental health of French employees showed that, on the eve of the gradual return to offices and work from headquarters, there was a significant increase in the number of cases of occupational exhaustion, and the head of a French-Canadian company specialized in the prevention of psychological and social risks said that “the rate of occupational exhaustion has doubled in one year.”

According to France 24, the mental health measure for French employees, developed by “Opinion Warri”, showed that the employees’ psychological distress remained at a high level.
The seventh wave of the “Impact of the Health Crisis on the Mental Health of Employees” online survey was conducted from April 30 to May 10, 2021 on a representative sample of 20007 employees.
“The rate of occupational burnout doubled in one year, reaching a peak of two million people suffering from severe exhaustion,” said Christophe Nguyen, president of the French-Canadian “Imprint Amen” company specialized in preventing psychological and social risks, such as depression and suicide.
