Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly announced the closure of shops, malls and cafes from nine o’clock in the evening local time, starting tomorrow, Thursday, until May 21.
The decision came with the aim of curbing the spread of the Coronavirus, according to Madbouly, who said that major gatherings and parties will be banned during the same period, and beaches and parks will be closed from 12 to 16 May.
The Supreme Committee for Corona Crisis Management, during its meeting today, Wednesday, headed by Mustafa Madbouly, the Prime Minister, issued several decisions to limit the spread of Corona during the coming period.
The committee’s decisions that will be implemented from tomorrow until May 21 came:
– The closing dates for all shops, malls, cafes, restaurants, theaters and cinemas are from 9 pm, while restaurants are allowed to deliver orders to homes after 9 pm.
Banning any gatherings, artistic parties, or mass events.
Eid Al Fitr holiday is from Wednesday 12 May until Sunday 16 May.
Beaches, parks and gardens will be completely closed during the Eid Al-Fitr holiday.
– Eid prayers are permitted in mosques where Friday prayers are held with the same precautionary measures, with no children accompanying.
