The Egyptian Football Association announced today, Tuesday, the suspension of Sayed Abdel Hafeez, director of football at Al-Ahly club, and its referral for investigation, following his statements about the referees.

The Federation stated on its Facebook page: “The Egyptian Football Association’s Competitions Department decided to suspend Sayed Abdel Hafeez, director of football at Al-Ahly club, and refer him for investigation with the knowledge of the Federation’s legal advisor, for what he had made of televised statements after the match between Al-Mahalla and Al-Ahly in the league competition.

Abdul Hafeez had told the Al-Ahly club TV channel after the match that ended in Ghazl Al-Mahalla victory over Al-Ahly 1/0 yesterday, Monday, that his team was subjected to clear arbitration injustice during the match and a number of other matches.
