The ministry figures showed that the death toll in India reached 238,270 people, after 4,187 deaths were recorded.

Thus India is the third country after the United States and Brazil to record more than 4 thousand deaths in one day.

The health authorities also reported that 401,087 people were infected with the virus in the past four hours, bringing the death toll to about 21.9 million.

India is going through the darkest stages of the epidemic, after registering in recent days world records that have brought health care systems in large cities and rural areas to the brink of collapse.

International experts and non-governmental organizations believe that the real numbers of Corona casualties and deaths in India are “much greater than those declared.”

And last April, the “Indian mutant” was spotted, which plunged India into a massive outbreak of the virus and has overwhelmed the health system.

It is noteworthy that the new mutant has been detected in at least 18 countries, including France, Britain, the United States, Belgium, Switzerland and Italy, according to the World Health Organization.

Spread through the air

The American Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has updated its explanations about how the Corona virus is transmitted, that inhalation is one of the main ways of spreading the virus.

According to its latest update, diffusion is in a less dangerous concentration for surface capture.

And the US Centers for Disease Control published its update on its website, with a gradual shift in the agency’s advice to confirm that the virus spreads through the air either by breathing, or by reaching the eyes or settling on surfaces that people later touch.

According to the new update, “Covid-19 spreads when an infected person breathes in very small droplets and particles that contain the virus. These droplets and particles can be inhaled by other people or land on their eyes, noses, or mouths. In some circumstances, the surfaces they touch may be contaminated. They are within 6 feet of an infected person, they are most vulnerable. ”

The new explanation stresses that people contract the virus more commonly when they stand near an infected person and the particles fly either to land on the face or to breathe.

Less common, people contract the virus from inhaling polluted air from distant people, or by touching a contaminated surface and then touching their eyes, noses, or mouths.
