Frenchman Pavitimbi Gomez, the star of Al Hilal, moved away as the top scorer in the Saudi League, after he scored two goals in his team’s match against Al-Shabab, which was postponed from the 26th round of the Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Professional Cup League.

The match witnessed great excitement with its start by scoring two goals in the first 5 minutes, as Frenchman Gomez opened the scoring for Al Hilal in the third minute of the match, with a strong header, but Fabio succeeded in snatching the equalizer two minutes later in the fifth minute.

Gomez returned to score the second goal for Hilal from a penalty kick in the 25th minute.

Gomez is the top scorer in the Saudi League and the leader with 20 goals, while Argentine Christian Joanca remains the youth’s top scorer with 15 goals.

The following is the table of the Saudi League’s top scorers:

1 / Pavitembe Gomez – Al Hilal 20 goals

2 / Carlos Strandberg – Abha, 16 goals

3 / Fabio Abreu – Al Baten: 15 goals

3 / Romarinho – Al Ittihad, 15 goals

Al-Hilal occupies the top of the Saudi League standings with 48 points, on goal difference from the second-placed youth.

The numbers appear equal between the two teams, as they both won 14 wins, drew 6 times and suffered 5 defeats.

The last meeting between the two teams ended in a 1-1 draw, on December 31, but Al Shabab had not won against Al Hilal since October 17, 2014, when they beat Park Chu Young’s goal.
