First, adding garlic to a person’s diet has been found to reduce systolic and diastolic blood pressure readings.

Second, the decrease in blood pressure readings was similar to that achieved by taking antihypertensive drugs.

By reducing blood pressure readings, a person reduces their risk of developing cardiovascular health problems in the future.

The British Heart Foundation (BHF) explained that high blood pressure can lead to kidney failure, heart failure and vascular dementia.
